Technology has made it possible to forge powerful connections with audiences, so it was important to all of us at MSLO that our consumers, viewers, users and readers had the best possible experiences with digital magazines, apps, and video. In November of 2010 Martha Stewart Living published its first ipad app: “Boundless Beauty,” a special issue featuring original content with a host of slide shows, videos and animations. It became the Number One paid app on the App Store immediate after it’s launch. That success set the standard for the monthly digital publications of Martha Stewart Living and Everyday Food magazines, which followed in 2011. In addition the Martha Stewart editorial teams worked closely with the interactive design team at Happy to create recipe and craft apps.
